CHALLENGE:
Doctors dislike referring their patients to emergency medical centers out of fear that ER doctors will try to steal or "poach" patients away from the referring doctor's practice.
SOLUTION:
Because Emerus operates only emergency hospitals, staffed only by emergency room specialists, Left Field created a patient loyalty campaign that Emerus provided and fulfilled for doctors who referred patients to their facilities.
By providing a monthly "touch" program, referring physicians could build better relationships with their patients and Emerus would be ensured a steady stream of referrals from a network of doctors who now saw Emerus as a partner, not a threat.
